Walbottle Walks

There is some beautiful countryside around Walbottle just right for a leisurely stroll or a longer hike for the more adventurous.

The route of Hadrian’s Wall passes through the village and Hadrian’s Wall walking route follows the river at the bottom of Walbottle Road.

With the track of Stephenson’s railway from Newburn to Wylam, the Sites of Special Scientific Interest at Ryton Willows and Hallow Hill (Throckley) and the Walbottle and Throckley Dene nature reserve close by we really are blessed.

We have collected a selection of local (and not so local) walks for you to enjoy. Just click on the button to view the PDF file in a new tab. If anyone wishes to include their favourite local walk on this site then send us a message and we will be in contact.
