Although the weather was a little damp a wonderful community day was had by all celebrating the Platinum Jubilee ceremony. The busy event included our Town Crier, the bagpipes, plenty of stalls selling home produce and culminated in the beacon lighting ceremony.

With the beacon lit, local residents and their familes arrived at Walbottle village green to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. There was dancing demonstrations, stalls, raffles, and an amazing cake competition. A special thank-you for all who attened and helped to make the event a huge success.
